Hawk Watch

 The Ashland Nature Center is once again hosting a Hawk Watch on the Hill this fall. This event is open to the public and runs through November. You can observe raptors, waterfowl, swallows and more migrants as the pass through our area. More information can be found at www.delawarenaturesociety.org DNS also has a listing of several bird walks for the fall months.

 Free Bird Walks

 There are weekly birdwalks held at the Bucktoe Creek Preserve in Avondale Pa. They happen from 8am - 10am on Sunday and Monday mornings. In addition Land manager William Ryan leads a plant walk each Friday afternoon at 3pm. More information can be found at www.bucktoecreekpreserve.org

Also a group of birders meet in the Ashland Nature Center's parking lot every Thursday morning at 8am for bird walks.

Ashland to Bucktoe Hike Friday November 20, 12:30 - 4:30pm 

Create a Pumpkin Pie using heirloom squash. Saturday November 21, 9:30 -2:00pm
