We're Committed to Nature and Our Community
We’re passionate about our natural environment and the birds that inhabit it. For 15 years Wild Birds Unlimited of Hockessin has supported nature organizations in our community. These groups include the Delaware Nature Society, the Red Clay Valley Association, the Brandywine Valley association, the Delmarva Ornithological Society, Tri-State Bird Rescue and the Delaware Humane Association. We finnacially support these organizations throughout the year and hope you will too. With your support of our store we will continue to do so. Thank You
Free Bird Walks are held every Monday morning at the Bucktoe Creek Preserve in Kennett Township. Walks are from 8am-10am. Bucktoe is a private 300 acre property that is maintain for wildlife. Address is 432 Sharp Rd. Avondale Pa. Parking area is on Sharp rd. across from the Candlewyck development. The Delmarva Ornithological Society has started a youth birding group, the Delaware Dunlins. It's open to kids 6 to 18 years of age and parents are urged to participate. Monthly field trips are planned.
