Looking to Get Out and Bird More?

Several local places offer bird walks and other birding activities.

The Delaware Nature Society offers free bird walks In April and May. 

On Sundays, from 8 am to 10:30 am  meet at the Bucktoe Creek Preserve for an enjoyable stroll through pristine farm and woodland to search for spring migrants. Bucktoe Creek is a private preserve located at 432 Sharp Road in Avondale. 

There's also Bird Banding at Bucktoe on Wednesdays from April 8 to November 25. 

There's bird walks hosted by the Delaware Nature Society on Tuesdays at Middle Run.  Meet at 8 am. Beginners are welcome.

Every Sunday you're invited to take a bird walk at Bucktoe Creek Preserve in Avondale. Bucktoe Creek is a private property that is open only during the bird walks. You can not enter at will. Larry Lewis leads Bird Walks at Bucktoe every Sunday morning starting at 8 am. Bucktoe Creek is located at 432 Sharp Road in Avondale PA. 

The Delaware Ornithological Society has many upcoming walks and talks. You can find them at https://www.dosbirds.org/events/

The first Friday of every month you can join the folks at Bellevue State Park for a bird walk. Walks begin at 8 am, and meet in the parking lot by the Arts Building. Beginners welcome.
